City police charged Jolene M.B. Schermerhorn, 30, of 856 S. Massey St., at 11 a.m. Friday with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance after allegedly she was found with heroin.

After a traffic stop in a parking lot on the 200 block of Arsenal Street, police said, they found heroin in a small wax bag, with a blue stamp with “suicide” written on it.

Mrs. Schermerhorn was processed at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building and released with an appearance ticket for City Court.
