CHAUMONT — Troy Wilson scored 22 points to go with nine rebounds and eight assists as the Lyme boys basketball team clinched the Frontier League “D” Division regular-season title with a 67-45 victory over LaFargeville on Friday night.

Darius Reed recorded 15 points, 11 rebounds and five assists, while Kody Goutremout generated eight points and eight rebounds for the Indians (12-3 overall, 11-3 league).

Eric Doolittle, Tim Cramer and Skyler Weston scored eight points apiece for the Red Knights (1-13).

SOUTH JEFFERSON 53, GENERAL BROWN 27

Tom Bassett led the Spartans with 19 points as they beat the Lions in a “B” Division game in Adams.

Jake Worden collected 11 points and a season-high 18 rebounds for South Jefferson (13-1, 12-1).

Austin Giruzzi and Cole Johnson each scored eight points for General Brown (2-12, 2-11).

CARTHAGE 67, APW 41

Walter Jeter generated a double-double, scoring 19 points and grabbing 10 rebounds, as the Comets downed the Rebels in a crossover game at Carthage.

Peyton McLaurin chipped in with 17 points for Carthage (14-1, 10-1).

Sage Bartlett netted 11 points for Altmar-Parish-Williamstown (6-8).

SACKETS HARBOR 61, ALEXANDRIA 36

Colton Belcher accounted for 21 points and nine rebounds as the Patriots overcame a slow start to defeat the Purple Ghosts in a “D” Division game at Sackets Harbor.

Josh Keruski added 11 points for Sackets Harbor (10-5, 9-5).

Zach Heschke scored 16 points for Alexandria (4-11, 3-10).

SANDY CREEK 75, LOWVILLE 42

Zachary Halsey finished with 24 points, 13 rebounds and five steals to power the Comets to a “C” Division win over the Red Raiders in Sandy Creek.

Cameron Hall added 14 points, while Reis Harding and Tyler Swarthout supplied 10 points apiece for Sandy Creek (7-6).

Kyle Malik scored 17 points to lead Lowville (6-10, 5-10).

GIRLS BASKETBALL

INDIAN RIVER 44, WATERTOWN 31

Sarah Mattingly finished with 12 points, five assists and three steals as the Warriors gained an “A” Division victory over the Cyclones at Philadelphia. Indian River clinched at least a tie with Carthage for the division title.

Paige Fayette chipped in with seven points, four assists and three steals for Indian River (11-4, 9-2).

Hannah Levine scored 11 points, and Katie Aldrich grabbed 11 rebounds for Watertown (4-9, 2-8).

CARTHAGE 38, APW 26

Zakiya Saunders generated 21 points, 14 rebounds and six steals to guide the Comets to a crossover victory at Parish.

Lexi Smith added seven points, five rebounds and two steals for Carthage (9-6, 8-3).

Kylee Bartlett scored 15 points for Altmar-Parish-Williamstown (6-9, 5-9).

SANDY CREEK 53, LOWVILLE 45

Mykayla Howlett recorded 17 points as the Comets (4-10, 3-9) beat the Red Raiders in a “C” Division game at Lowville.

Emma St. Croix was the game’s high scorer with 23 points for Lowville (2-11, 2-10).

THOUSAND ISLANDS 46, BEAVER RIVER 14

Kristin McGraw tallied 13 points as the Vikings routed the Beavers in a “C” Division game in Beaver Falls.

Ashley Howard contributed 12 points for Thousand Islands (13-1, 12-1).

SOUTH JEFFERSON 3, WATERTOWN 0

Janessa Vaadi provided 16 kills and four blocks to lead the Spartans to an interdivision victory over the Cyclones, 25-22, 25-18, 31-29, in Adams.

Alex Mooney added nine kills and nine digs, while Hannah Mullin generated eight kills and 10 digs for South Jefferson (13-3, 11-3).

Nemesis Ruiz paced Watertown (7-8, 6-7) with 13 kills and 10 digs, Stacia Wallace had eight kills and six digs, and Olivia Heiler added 11 assists and two aces.
