To The Editor:
I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic... not the democracy (mob rule). In our representative form of government, every representative (politician) takes an oath to uphold our Constitution, not the mob. When public serpents are elected (by the mob) to office, and perceive it as a mandate to serve themselves regardless of the boundaries of the Constitution, it is an act of sedition.
Promote the general welfare means fiscal responsibility. With the depleting of our school, town, county slush funds, $63.3 billion for the state, $16.4 trillion in federal debt, this is proof of fiscal irresponsibility (breaking the oath). Robbing Peter to pay Paul, members serving members at chattels expense (a 14.4 percent county tax increase and raises for the county administrator and department heads) is unconstitutional (a heinous crime). Taxing in order to keep up the lifestyle of the public serpents (club members) is treason. This will continue until we the people cleanse this illegal, unethical conflict of interest from our town, school, county, state and federal governments.
By the way, in a democracy, if 51 percent voted to remove everyones right arm, they would be removed. By the grace of God, Constitution and Republic, Ill choose to keep mine and be able to keep mine as long as these three exist (which will take people to know the difference between a democracy and a republic), and youll be able to do whatever with yours. Its daylight again.
