POTSDAM Shannon MacAulay scored two goals to lead the Clarkson womens hockey team to a 5-0 victory over Dartmouth in an ECAC Hockey game Saturday afternoon at Cheel Arena.
Erica Howe made 22 saves to shut out the Big Green (12-7-3 overall, 7-6-2 conference).
Vanessa Gagnon, Carly Mercer and Brittany Styner also scored for the Golden Knights (20-6, 12-2).
HARVARD 3, ST. LAWRENCE 2 (OT)
Kalley Armstrong scored 2 minutes, 10 seconds into overtime to lead the Crimson (17-2-1, 14-1) past the Saints in an ECAC Hockey game in Appleton Arena.
SLU (14-10-2, 9-4-1) led twice in the game off goals from Abbey McRae and Kayla Raniwsky.
Jilliam Dempsey scored for Harvard at 13:42 of the third period to force overtime. Mary Parker also scored for the Crimson.
SUNY POTSDAM 3, NEUMANN 2
The Bears (7-9-2, 3-6-1) scored the first three goals and held off a late rally to defeat Neumann in an ECAC West game at Cheel Arena.
Alexandra Holowka, Natasha Allen and Sally Mooney scored for SUNY Potsdam. Lynsey Nakamura and Shanelle Doucette scored for Neumann.
MENS HOCKEY
SUNY CANTON 4, LEBANON VALLEY 3 (OT)
George Curry scored with 13 seconds left in overtime to lead the Kangaroos (7-13) in a nonconference game in Canton.
Corey Frizell tied the game for SUNY Canton with a goal with 1:50 remaining in the third period.
Jake Ranahan and Nils Semjonovs also scored for the Kangaroos. Former Salmon River goalie Matt Healy made 50 saves for Lebanon Valley.
MENS BASKETBALL
ST. LAWRENCE 68, RENSSELAER 52
Brady Condlin scored 26 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead the Saints (7-10, 5-3) in a Liberty League game in Troy.
Payton Stahler added 20 points for SLU. Jamie Zajac scored 10 points.
BUFFALO STATE 83, SUNY POTSDAM 57
Jake Simmons scored 30 points to send the Bengals (11-6, 6-5) past the Bears in a SUNYAC game in Buffalo.
Roderick Epps scored 16 points and Seth Runge added 12 for Buffalo State. Curtis Pierce led the Bears (7-11, 3-8) with 15 points.
MAINE-PRESQUE ISLE 96, SUNY CANTON 73
Aaron Hutchins scored 23 points and Michael Warner added 20 to lead host Maine-Presque Isle (9-10) in a nonleague game.
Ryan Lamica paced the Kangaroos (5-13) with a 14-point effort. Scott Bartenstein and Tyler Ellison each scored 13 points and Khalid Vaughn added 12.
WOMENS BASKETBALL
ST. LAWRENCE 79, RENSSELAER 67
Kara McDuffee led the Saints (13-4, 7-1) with 16 points and nine rebounds in a Liberty League win in Troy.
Kelly Legg scored 12 points for SLU and Amanda Roberts tossed in 11. Hannah Wilson and Lauren Quattrocchi each scored 10 ponits.
Sarah Wetmore tossed in 22 points to lead RPI (10-7, 4-4).
BUFFALO STATE 68, SUNY POTSDAM 49
Bianca Smiley scored 24 points and pulled down 11 rebounds as the Bengals (10-8, 6-5) knocked off the Bears in a SUNYAC game in Buffalo.
Olivia Luciani added 18 points for Buffalo State. Katy Briedis also scored 18 to lead the Bears (1-17, 0-11), and Akingba Adedoyin added 10.
SUNY CANTON 63, MAINE-PRESQUE ISLE 55
Kaitlin Myers finished with 15 points, 13 rebounds and five blocks as the Kangaroos (10-7) won a nonconference game.
Joelle Percy scored 16 points for SUNY Canton, and Corrine Riegel added 12.
Doni Yendriga led Maine-Presque Isle (5-12) with 16 points.
JEFFERSON CC 63, BROOME CC 38
Jasmie Canady was the games high scorer with 22 points as Cannoneers beat the visiting Hornets for a Mid-State Athletic Conference victory.
Morgan Kiernan contributed 12 points for Jefferson Community College (9-11, 5-2).
Jennifer Celiberti paced Broome Community College (2-17, 1-6) with 16 points.
SWIMMING AND DIVING
BEARS SPLIT AT ST. MICHAELS
SUNY Potsdams men gained a 123-110 win over the Purple Knights but the womens team fell 120-85 in a nonconference meet in Colchester, Vt.
Dan Costa, Tyler Zapisek and Richie Zimmerman each won two events for the men. Costa finished first in the 50-and 100-meter freestyles. Zapisek won the 400 individual medley and 200 butterfly and Zimmerman won the 1,000 freestyle and 200 backstroke.
Victoria Blakeslee won the 1,000 and 500 freestyles to lead the women.
SAINTS DrOP TWO
Hartwick College defeated both the SLU mens and womens teams in a nonconference meet in Canton.
Hartwick won the mens meet 159-60 and defeated the SLU women 138-99.
Casey Abribat claimed the 400 individual medley and 100 backstroke for the SLU women.
SKIING
THREE SAINTS IN TOP 10
Two men and one woman finished in the top 10 for the Saints alpine squad at the 2013 Colby Carnival in Carrabassett Valley, Maine.
Ashley-Kate Durham led SLUs women with a sixth-place finish in 1 minute, 31.49 seconds. Graham Scott finished in sixth place for SLUs men in 1:26.88 and Jeremy Lawless placed ninth for SLUs men in 1:26.96.
