Faculty performers from SUNY Potsdams Crane School of Music will bring out their most crowd-pleasing repertoire for the spring Crane Faculty Showcase concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday in the Helen M. Hosmer Concert Hall. The performance will usher in Cranes spring 2013 concert season.
This event is free.
The Crane School of Music faculty members who will take center stage are Kenneth Andrews, flute; Emmet Collins, cello; John Ellis, trumpet; Donald George, tenor; Charles Guy, tuba; Julianne Kirk-Doyle, clarinet; John Lindsey, violin; Carol Lowe, bassoon; Jill R. Pearon, soprano; David Pittman-Jennings, baritone; Douglas Rubio, guitar; Raphael Sanders, clarinet, and François Germain, Julie Miller, Michael Sitton and Paul Wyse, on piano.
The performance will include works by Francis Poulenc, Maurice Ravel, Georges Enesco, Alec Wilder, Sergei Rachmaninoff, John Dowland, Johann Strauss II and Lowell Liebermann.
Faculty members Deborah Massell and Paul Wyse will host the concert.
