Clarkson University sophomore forward Joe Zarbo was named ECAC men’s hockey player of the week after a four-goal weekend.

Zabro scored the Golden Knights’ first hat trick in over two years in a 5-1 win at Harvard on Friday. He also scored the only goal for Clarkson in a 5-1 loss to Dartmouth on Saturday.

Zarbo leads the conference nine goals.

■ Clarkson University women’s hockey players Carly Mercer and Erica Howe took home ECAC honors this week. Mercer, a junior, was named player of the week after scoring four goals over the weekend. Howe, also a junior, was selected for goaltender of the week after allowing only two goals in games against the Crimson and Big Green.
