Miles A. Matthews, 25, of 10114 4th Armored Division Drive, Fort Drum, was charged by Watertown police Wednesday with misapplication of property.

Police said that on Dec. 8, he possessed a 42-inch television and a laptop computer that belonged to Rent to Own and that he pawned the items at a pawn shop. According to police, he had rented the items and signed a contract agreeing to return them to the rental business.

He is due to answer the charges in City Court.
