Rodney H. Pierce, 46, of 522 Emerson St., Apt. 8, was charged by Watertown police at 3:52 a.m. Thursday with second-degree unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and petit larceny.
Police allege that about 3:45 a.m., he entered a vehicle belonging to Kenneth B. Slack, 155 Union St., Apt. 4, while it was parked at Mr. Slacks residence and stole an iPhone charger valued at $20 and miscellaneous paperwork.
Mr. Pierce is due to answer the charges in City Court. He was charged Jan. 15 with petit larceny and third-degree criminal trespass and, in an unrelated incident, second-degree aggravated harassment. He allegedly shoplifted items from a State Street grocery store and left threatening messages on a womans phone in those incidents.
Mr. Pierce was discharged from state prison in December 2006 after serving about 2½ years for second-degree criminal contempt, attempted assault, resisting arrest and violating probation.
