Cutting-edge information for farmers on corn production will be featured at the 2013 North Country Crop Congress from 9:15 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 12 at the Ramada Inn.
Preregistration for the event, which will include an agribusiness trade show, is $20 per person and due Feb. 8. Admission at the door is $25. Lunch is included.
Dairy science professor Randy Shaver from the University of Wisconsin will present information on a new technique for dairy farmers to use corn shredlage, instead of silage, to feed cattle. Russell R. Hahn from Cornell University, Ithaca, will present the latest research data on controlling weeds in corn, while William J. Cox, also from Cornell, will present results from corn production trials on New York farms.
