Well we just had the second inauguration ceremony for President Obama, and his speech covered all the liberal agenda hot items of things to address in the coming four years.

I have lots of liberal friends who are no doubt very satisfied with outlook for the country with folks like Obama in charge.

No question about it, poor people will be taken care of, all the terrible road blocks to immigration will be lifted, we’ll turn around global warming, people will get their free birth control, no one will have so-called assault weapons, and there will be no more smoke stacks spewing vile mixtures of partially burned chemicals into the atmosphere. What a wonderful world it will be.

Here’s the dirty little truth about liberalism. It’s really not about any of that stuff. Liberalism is about controlling the people, nothing more.

They start right off in grade school, by drugging little boys who don’t walk neatly in line with the little girls. Who really knows what long-term effects that stuff has on them and how much their ability to learn had been inhibited?. But then it’s not about learning, it’s about control.

Look at gun control. Our governor is intent on foisting his draconian regulations on the citizens of New York. The problem with the governor and his crowd is they are no more qualified to make firearm laws than I am to steer the Mars rover. The same holds true for Obama and his minions in D.C.

But again it’s not about reasonable firearm regulations; it’s all about controlling honest people.

We just need policies that keep guns away from the mentally disturbed and exert much stiffer penalties on those using guns in criminal activity, not policies limiting gun types and numbers of rounds they hold.

These liberal elitists are trying to control the food we eat, the size of drinks, the cars we drive, what kind of energy we use, even our health and religion. Anything to sap us of the freedoms we have under the Constitution.

We all need to be very careful and untrusting of the leftist politicians who would turn this country into the Socialist Republic of the United States for their own personal benefit. Remember, they work for us, not the other way around. Don’t let them trample on your rights.
