CLAYTON — Freshman Quincy Aubertine poured in 28 points as the Thousand Islands boys basketball team held off Altmar-Parish-Williamstown, 72-69, in a Frontier League crossover game on Friday.

Reed Donnelly added 19 points and five assists for Thousand Islands (13-4, 13-3).

Baron Correll paced A-P-W (6-10) with 16 points.

LOWVILLE 49, GENERAL BROWN 36

Kyle Malik nearly outscored the Lions by himself, netting 28 points, as the Red Raiders earned the crossover win at Dexter.

Malik had 13 field goals and two free throws for Lowville (7-11, 6-11), while Brian O’Connor added nine points.

Rob Pickeral scored seven points for General Brown (2-14, 2-13).

SOUTH JEFFERSON 58, SOUTH LEWIS 29

Jake Worden connected for 23 points as the Spartans gained a crossover win in Turin.Tom Bassett added eight points for South Jefferson (15-1, 14-1).

Jason Martin supplied 18 points and five steals, and Matt Mooney grabbed six rebounds for South Lewis (9-8, 8-8).

BEAVER RIVER 68, SANDY CREEK 35

Samuel Widrick and Alex Hall combined for 46 points to spark the Beavers to an easy “C’’ Division win over the Comets at Beaver Falls.

Widrick scored 25 points and dished out five assists. Hall contributed 21 points, grabbed 13 rebounds and blocked five shots for Beaver River (16-1, 15-1).

Tyler Swarthout hit five 3-point field goals, finishing with 19 points for Sandy Creek (7-8).

INDIAN RIVER 67, FULTON 42

Marcus Keys scored 13 points and grabbed eight rebounds as the Warriors earned a nonleague win over the Red Raiders in Philadelphia.

Danny Angelo and Justin Mattingly each provided 12 points for Indian River (12-4).

Tanner Gorton and Dan Coant scored nine points apiece for Fulton (1-14).

GIRLS BASKETBALL

SOUTH JEFFERSON 72, SOUTH LEWIS 15

Marisa Clark scored a career-high 18 points, hitting four 3-pointers, as the unbeaten Spartans routed the Falcons in a crossover game in Adams.

Brooke VanCoughnett had 14 assists for South Jefferson (16-0), which is ranked seventh in the state this week in Class B. Quincy Zimmerman added 12 points.

Olivia Fitzgerald led South Lewis (9-7, 9-6) with seven points.

GENERAL BROWN 49, LOWVILLE 37

Katie Pitkin scored 16 points to help lead the Lions to a crossover victory at Lowville.

Rhea Pitkin chipped in with 10 points for General Brown (9-7, 9-6).

Emma St. Croix provided 15 points, and Anna Platz added nine points and nine rebounds for Lowville (2-15, 2-14).

BEAVER RIVER 45, SANDY CREEK 31

Abigail Cornell was credited with 11 points, 19 rebounds and eight assists as the Beavers earned the “C” Division win over the Comets at Sandy Creek.

Emma Puddington, a seventh-grader, added 13 points and five steals for Beaver River (6-11, 6-9). Mykayla Howlett led Sandy Creek (4-13, 3-12) with 13 points.
