GOUVERNEUR - Ryan M. Weir, 20, of 17 South St., was charged with criminal contempt by St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Deputies at 12:30 a.m. Saturday.

Mr. Weir allegedly violated an order of protection against him by getting involved in a domestic dispute with an unidentified protected person at her home on Main St.

He was taken to the St. Lawrence County Jail, Canton, where he was held on $1,000 cash bail.
