STAR LAKE - Completing a 7-3 season while gearing up for Saturdays Section 10 Championships in Canton, the OFA Wrestling team downed Clifton-Fine 56-6 on Tuesday night.
Saturdays sectionals will open with the preliminary round at 10 a.m. which will be followed by the Division I and II Championship rounds.
The Eagles (0-8), won the opening bout on Tuesday as Dawson Kerr recorded a pin at 120 pounds. The Devils answered with a pin by Adam Rickett at 126, a forfeit to Josh Wangler at 132, an 11-9 decision by Glyn Breen over Austin Milone at 138, a pin by Bailey Phelps at 145 and a pin by Nathan Murdock at 152.
The Devils completed their run of unanswered points as Cody-Allen David posted a 16-0 technical fall over Carl Twyman at 160, Allen Smithers recorded a fall at 170, Alex Cole continued his strong finish on the season with a pin at 182, Nathan Sarkin registered a 25-second fall at 285 and Brody Sheppard received a forfeit at 106.
