Heroes speak up

In regard to the animal abuse case in Redwood, I would like to commend the person(s) who reported this heinous crime. You are a hero in every sense of the word. We need more people like you. So often people don’t speak up, either from fear or thinking it isn’t their business. It is always the business of a community to speak up when abuse is happening. You did the right thing.

Anyone who abuses an animal, especially when it is a pet, deserves the harshest punishment available by law. Weak people hurt animals. Honestly, how bad is one’s life that they have to take it out on a dog? Hopefully this man will no longer be allowed to have a dog. Anyone who may have known of this abuse and said nothing should be ashamed.

Thanks for speaking up for the poor dog that could not. I wish the results for him could have been different, but at least the incident wasn’t ignored. Again, you are a hero.
