CANTON Shawn Clark scored nine of his 17 points in the first quarter, sparking the Potsdam boys basketball team to an 84-41 win over Canton in a Northern Athletic Conference Central Division game Tuesday.
The Sandstoners (11-5 overall, 6-5 division) started the game with a 27-9 spurt in the opening quarter.
Will Coleman scored 14 points for Potsdam and Konnor Bigwarfe added 13. Owen Mitchell scored 11 and Duquan Pitts added 10.
Evan LaPoint led Canton (5-11, 3-8) with 12 points.
MALONE 75, MASSENA 61
The Huskies (16-1, 11-1) trailed 39-38 at halftime, but went on a 19-5 run in the third quarter to defeat Massena in a Central Division game in Malone.
Jon Dunlavey led Malone with 15 points. Nate Monette scored 14 and Harvey Smith added 13. Austin Lamay tossed in 10 for the Huskies.
Tyler Haas paced Massena (9-8, 6-5) with 17 points. Zach Rusaw scored 14 and Xavier Viskovich produced 12.
MADRID-WADDINGTON 58, ST. LAWRENCE 54
Greg Thompson scored 18 points as Madrid-Waddington (11-6, 5-3) beat the Larries in a North Division game in Brasher Falls.
Colin OBryan added 10 points for Madrid-Waddington. Zane Ramsdell paced the Larries (8-10, 4-4) with 23 points and 14 rebounds and Jessi Greer scored 10 points.
TuPPER LAKE 43, COLTON-PIERREPONT 34
Mitch Keniston scored 12 points to send Tupper Lake (10-5) past the Colts in an interdivision game in Colton.
Cody LaPierre added 11 for Tupper Lake. Gyle Dominy led Colton-Pierrepont (7-10, 4-7) with 12 points and Zach Farr tallied 11.
LISBON 59, HEUVELTON 38
Adam Felt scored 16 points and Jimmy Robinson added 14 as Lisbon (11-5, 8-4) beat the Bulldogs in a West Division game in Heuvelton.
Jake Putney scored 10 for Lisbon. Jon Sloan led Heuvelton (11-6, 9-4) with 11 points.

Nate Weaver scored 22 points as the Pirates (13-3, 10-2) defeated Hammond in a West Division contest in Harrisville.
Jared Dreythaler scored 13 points and Joey Butts added 10 for Harrisville. Darin Bresett led Hammond (6-11, 5-8) with 11 points.
EDWARDS-KNOX 80, HERMOn-DEKALB 34
Edwards-Knox (15-2, 12-1) clinched the West Division title, beating the Demons in DeKalb Junction.
Kaden Dandrow scored 28 points to lead Edwards-Knox and Chris Davison added 11. Macaulay Snell led the Demons (3-13, 3-10) with 14 points.
MORRISTOWN 58, CLiFTON-FINE 29
Bobby Simmons scored 18 points to lead the Green Rockets (6-10, 4-9) past Clifton-Fine in a West Division game in Morristown.
Dakota Marshall scored 14 points and Ryan Vollmer and Devin Dulmage each added 11 for Morristown. Chase Koster led the Eagles (1-16, 0-13) with 14 points.
MADRID-WADDINGTON 48, CHATEAUGAY 36 (OT)
The Yellow Jackets built a 22-10 edge by halftime and beat Chateaugay in an interdivision game in Madrid, holding the Bulldogs scoreless in overtime.
Katie Marcellus led Madrid-Waddington (15-1) with 11 points and eight rebounds. Hannah Cook scored 14 points for the Bulldogs (14-3, 10-1). Makayla Fleury grabbed 12 rebounds and Abby Barnes snagged 10 boards for Chateaugay.
POTSDAM 73, NORWOOD-NORFOLK 26
Sarah Vivlamore scored 21 points as the Sandstoners trounced Norwood-Norfolk (3-14) in a nonleague game in Potsdam.
Taylor Bonno and Shanielle Chambers each scored 14 points for Potsdam (4-12).
OFA 56, CLIFTON-FINE 6
The Blue Devils (10-9, 6-3) lost just one match and used six pins to defeat Clifton-Fine in Star Lake.
