Massena: Erma J. Santamont 78, of Nightengale Ave. passed away on Feb. 5,2013 at Massena Memorial Hospital. Erma was born on Jan. 28, 1935 in Massena the daughter of Henry and Dorothy (Eamer) Alguire. On Jan. 30, 1954 she married Leon J. Santamont at St. Mary’s Rectory with Rev. Bernard Kellogg officiating. Mr. Santamont predeceased her on August 18, 2012. Erma was a homemaker. She is survived by her children, Laurie and husband Jerry Carapella of Pittsford, NY, Lee J. of Greece, NY and Eric and wife Charlotte of Oneonta, NY, three grandchildren, Matthew, Michael and Emily, a brother Verlin Alguire of Massena along with many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers Ralph, David, Roger, and Carl Alguire and a sister Norma Briggs. Memorial contributions may be made to the Massena Hospital Foundation. Friends and family may bereceived on Friday, Feb. 8, 2013 from2-4 at Phillips Memorial Home, in Massena where they may share memories of Erma.
