PHILADELPHIA Indian River Central School District bus driver Ron St. Louis received a plaque at Thursdays Board of Education meeting for how he handled an altercation in late November.
Were recognizing someone for an incredible job in a tough situation, said Dennis L. Schrecengast, human resources director.
He said Mr. St. Louis broke up a fight between students and handled a parent who boarded the bus.
Fort Drums Command Sgt. Maj. Mark H. Oldroyd presented the plaque to Mr. St. Louis.
With your actions, the professionalism, the calmness, just being a grown-up, you gained control in that situation effectively, and thats something we can all applaud, said Command Sgt. Maj. Oldroyd.
