LISBON — A 32-year-old town of Lisbon resident closed his wife’s arm in a door during a domestic dispute Sunday, St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies said.

Charles A. Hall, of 3969 Route 68, was charged Monday with third-degree assault and first-degree criminal contempt, the latter charge because he is accused of violating an order of protection. The name of Mr. Hall’s wife was not released by deputies.

Mr. Hall was arraigned in Canton Town Court and released under probation supervision.
