GRAND LARCENY - POTSDAM - Village police charged Joseph A. Rousaw, 38, of Massena and Andrew K. Garrow, 27, of Norwood
with third-degree burglary and third-degree grand larceny Monday following a lengthy investigation into the burglary of a local business in June 2012.
Police said three men were charged with the theft of checks from a local business that were subsequently forged and cashed at banks throughout the county for a total of over $11,000.
Potsdam Police, acting in cooperation with the St. Lawrence County Sheriffs Department,charged Rousaw and Garrow for the burglary and grand larceny counts.
Police said informations were filed charging Shawn L. McGregor, 36, with two counts of third-degree burglary and one count of third-degree grrand larceny. McGregor is currently incarcerated at the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility on another matter.
Rousaw was sent to St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility without bail.
Garrow was released under the supervision of the probation department.
