Born September 17, 1919 at home on the family farm on the LaRue Road Massena, NY. He was the son of Franklin Henry and Mary Erda Carville LaRue. Philip and Mildred Elvina (Dolly) Olson were joined in marriage on June 12, 1948 at Sacred Heart Rectory in Massena, NY with Father Kellogg officiating. They moved to Florida in 1949 when he partnered with his brother Kenneth in the LaRue House Moving business. He bought out his brother and Philip and his sons have carried on the business.
He was predeceased by his wife, Mildred in 2009, one son Robert in 1949, his parents, three brothers Kenneth, Charles & Paul and three sisters Ilene, Helen, and Betty.
He is the proud father of two structural moving companies; LaRue House Movers and Sons, Inc. and T&T House Moving and Heavy Rigging.
Philip purchased the family farmhouse on the South Racquette River Road in Massena, NY in 1980 where he and his family spent their summers. He enjoyed being on the farm operating and maintaining his 28 antique tractors with his favorite being a 1953 Ferguson. Philip loved sharing with family and the many friends that visited the farm over the years, going to auctions, antique tractor shows and tractor pulls, proudly driving his 1911 American LaFrance fire truck in the annual Green Cove Springs Christmas parade. He loved telling stories about the good ole days with everyone more than ready to listen to his tales. Philip lived his 93 years to the fullest, he will be greatly missed but knowing he is dancing with his Dolly in heaven softens our loss.
