A man and woman are jailed, each on $15,000 bail, after 89 packets of heroin were found in their 217 Cedar St. apartment during a police raid Monday afternoon, according to the Metro-Jeff Drug Task Force.

Raymond R. Cruz, 32, and Tracy E. Goodwin, 22, both listed as residents of the apartment, are charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell.

They were arraigned before Watertown City Judge Eugene R. Renzi and placed in the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building to await grand jury action.

In addition to the heroin, having a street value of $1,700, the task force reported seizing $220 in cash and assorted drug paraphernalia during the 1 p.m. drug raid.

The Watertown police entry team assisted in the raid.
