Town of Hounsfield- Calling hours for Marion L. Sampson will be Saturday, February 16th from 11 am – 1 pm at the Carpenter-Stoodley Funeral Home, Belleville. Spring graveside services will be in Woodside Cemetery, Belleville.

Mrs. Sampson, 82, widow of Joseph Sampson, passed away February 11th at the home of her daughter, Sue Whitmore, Jericho Rd., Watertown.

She was born in Watertown a daughter of Edward J. and Hazel Lucas Claflin. She married Joseph E. Sampson November 19, 1951. Mrs. Sampson worked at Bomax for a few years, leaving to raise nine children Mr. Sampson passed away September 6, 2010.

Marion is survived by eight children, Wanda, Dorothy, Joseph, Brenda, Sarah, William, Susie and Debbie. 30 grandchildren and 42 great grandchildren. Three sisters Caroline, Sarah and Joyce. Three brothers, Donald, Roy and Alfred. Many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by a daughter Bonnie and a brother Edward Claflin.
