CALCIUM- Wayne Richard Widrick, 61, of Calcium, passed away early Tuesday morning ,February 12, 2013 at his home under the care of his loving family and Hospice.

He was born in Lowville, October 11, 1951, the son of the late Richard D. Widrick of Castorland and Shirley Kalamas of Boonville. He graduated from Lowville Academy.

He retired after 27 years in the National Guard as a Chief Warrant Officer (CW3). He was then employed for 12 years with Lear Siegler Services in government contracting at Ft. Drum.

Wayne was an avid hunter and fisherman and proud member of the Desert Swamp Hunting Club. He enjoyed going to the camp with his many friends and going to races in Lafargville, working on old cars with his sons, and providing for his family. He was a Syracuse Orangeman fan, and enjoyed the Giants when they won.

Wayne is survived by his loving and devoted wife Suzanne, children, Tina Casler, Jamie Gorman, Andrew Rounds, Elizabeth Peluso, Michael Widrick, Sarah Widrick, Nathan Widrick, and his fiance, Cassandra Roberts; four grandchildren, Kyle Widrick, Jesse, Billy, and Samantha Casler; two sisters, Cynthia Damsky and husband Barry, Janice Cochran and husband Ed, two brothers, Ronnie Lambert and Scott Widrick; stepmother, Phyllis Widrick; neice and nephews,Melissa, Deane, Corey and Christopher. Wayne was predeceased by his stepfather John Kalamas.

Calling hours are Saturday, February 16 from 1 to 3 PM at Sundquist Funeral Home in Lowville, followed by a memorial service. Local arrangements are with Frederick Bros. Funeral Home, Theresa.
