POTSDAM State police on Wednesday morning arrested a Norwood man following a lengthy investigation into an alleged rape that was reported nearly three years ago.
Troopers said Andrew J. Regan, 29, was charged with first-degree rape, a class B felony, for engaging in sexual intercourse with a woman, now 26, who was physically helpless. The incident was reported Aug. 9, 2009. Further details were not immediately available Thursday, troopers said.
Regan was arraigned in Potsdam Village Court and released on his own recognizance pending further proceedings.
