The Sci-Tech Center of Northern New York, 154 Stone St., is hosting the Great Snowball Melt.
Participants are encouraged to collect and save a snowball, which should be about 4 inches in diameter.
Only one snowball per person will be allowed in the contest, and participants will be asked to bring it to the museum between noon and 2 p.m. June 22, the day after the summer solstice.
Those who preserve a snowball that meets the size requirement will receive free admission to the museum that day. Sci-Tech members who participate will receive a free sample of fools gold.
Prizes will be awarded.
For more information, call the museum at 788-1340.
