HARRISVILLE — Donna M. Deline, 49, of 155 County Route 23A, was charged by state police at 8:30 p.m. Friday with third-degree assault, second-degree strangulation and aggravated criminal contempt. The latter two charges are felonies.

She is accused of attempting to choke her girlfriend, Diana L. Richards, 53, same address, who holds an order of protection against Ms. Deline.

Ms. Deline was charged with menacing, criminal contempt and criminal possession of a weapon after another fight between the two on Dec. 8, police said.

Ms. Deline was arrested in Watertown and taken to St. Lawrence County jail, Canton, where she was held on $5,000 bail.
