BLACK RIVER A North Carolina woman was injured in a crash at 5:01 p.m. Friday on Ridge Road in the town of Rutland caused by an apparent hit-and-run driver.
State police said Marlene E. Jones, 34, Fayetteville, N.C., was driving east when her vehicle was sideswiped by an oncoming vehicle, causing her car to go off the road and hit a tree.
Ms. Jones was taken to Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown, for treatment of neck pain.
The other vehicle left the scene, according to police.
