Watertown teen accused of harassing woman, escaping custody

A Watertown teen was jailed Friday night after allegedly harassing a woman, then later escaping from police custody.

Watertown police initially charged Tyler L. Nasworthy, 17, of 1815 Olmsted Drive, Apt. 209A, with two counts of second-degree criminal trespass and single counts of second-degree harassment and endangering the welfare of a child.

He was accused of unlawfully entering 254 E. Main St., Apt. 3, refusing to leave after being told to do so by resident Audriana L. Hill and grabbing Ms. Hill by the hair and slamming her head into the window while she was holding their 11-month-old daughter. He also went into Apt. 4 without the owner’s permission, police said.

Upon being taken to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building at 751 Waterman Drive, Mr. Nasworthy then allegedly ran from police and failed to stop when so ordered, leading to additional charges of third-degree escape and second-degree obstructing governmental administration.

He was arraigned before part-time Watertown City Judge Catherine J. Palermo and jailed on $1,000 cash bail or $2,000 bond.
