CARTHAGE Supporters of Brook Haven House maternity home are requesting recipes in all categories for inclusion in a fundraising cookbook.
The group will use the cookbook to raise money and awareness for the home. It plans to have the book available for Mothers Day, May 12.
The cookbook will include appetizers, vegetables, sandwiches, soups, entrees, desserts, beverages, quick recipes, low-calorie and ethnic food.
We are looking for those recipes that your friends and family request of you your most treasured recipes, organizer Shelley D. Stevens said.
She said the cookbook also will include information about the maternity home and the churches that support it.
Submissions are requested by Feb. 24, and can be mailed to P.O. Box 44, Carthage, N.Y. 13619 or emailed to brookhavenhouse1@gmail.com.
For more information, call Joan Sherwood from Brook Haven House at 493-1735.
