An Evans Mills man on Sunday was accused of stealing vending machine keys and change from various machines last month.

Evan L. Abell, 33, of 26344 Falcon Lane, was charged by Watertown police with two counts of petit larceny and one count of third-degree unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

Police said Mr. Abell on Jan. 24 entered a van owned by Watertown Vending that was parked at the business’s 800 Starbuck Ave. location without permission and took vending machine keys valued at $80.

Then, on Jan. 28 and 29, he stole $25 to $30 worth of change from machines at that location, police said.

He is to answer the charges in City Court.
