CANTON —The manager of the Price Chopper grocery store here has been transferred to the company’s Malone store.

Stephan E. Bowers has served as Canton store manager since May 2010, when Price Chopper Inc. took over the store when the chain purchased several P&C stores.

Saturday will be his last day at the Canton store.

Mr. Bowers said his replacement for the Canton store is Harold W. “Butch” Prashaw, manager of the Gouverneur Price Chopper.

“I’m going to miss the community, and the people who work here are great,” Mr. Bowers said.
