WATERTOWN- Deborah K. Stewart, 63, of Maywood Terrace died Monday February 18, 2013 at SUNY Upstate Medical Center, Syracuse following an automobile accident in Watertown on January 28.
Born November 16, 1949 in Plattsburg, NY, she was the daughter of Ross and Loretta Stewart Kenney. She attended Indian River High School and received her GED from Watertown High School. Also she studied keyboarding at the Jefferson Vocational Center, Watertown.
Marriages to Dale Ryor and William T. Morris, III ended in divorce.
Ms. Stewart was co-owner of Ryors Turkey Farm in Calcium from 1968 to 1979, an assistant manager at Tagway Shoes from 1980 to 1982, an assistant manager at Kids Port USA from 1982 to 1984, manager of the Jewelry Department at Boardmanss Catalog Store from January 1987 to July 1987, jewelry sales clerk at Zayres Department Store from 1987 to 1988, a self employed child care provider from 1988 to 1992, office manager at Young Womens Christian Association from 1992 to 1993, and currently an office assistant at The Salvation Army since November 1995.
She was a Girl Scout leader, fundraiser for the March of Dimes and MDA, enjoyed reading and was open minded, easy to get along with, eager to learn, punctual, reliable, neat and patient.Survivors include two sons, Bryan Ryor and his fiancée, Gay Clavel Briana, Calcium and Christopher Ryor, Watertown; a daughter, Lyndsay Ryor and her companion, Troy Gladle, Watertown; a brother, Peter Stewart, Calcium; a sister, Mary Kenney, Calcium; a half brother, Ross Kenney, Massena; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
A sister, Patricia Stinson, a half brother, Art Kenney and a half sister, Dorothy Searles died before her.
A funeral service will be 1 pm Saturday at the Calcium Community Church.
