■ CROGHAN — The American Maple Museum will hold a pancake breakfast from 7 to 11 a.m. Sunday at its Main Street location.

■ There will be a news conference at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Northern Regional Center for Independent Living, 210 Court St., Suite 207, where Community Health Advocates, Syracuse, will explain health-care reform and its effects on people and families.

■ There will be an invitation-only ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. Tuesday for Samaritan Summit Village, just off 19320 Route 11. Tours of the 288-bed assisted-living and skilled-nursing complex will begin at 2 p.m. for community members and 5 p.m. for business leaders.
