MASSENA — A 15-year-old Massena boy was charged by state police with petit larceny at 6 p.m. Friday.

He is accused of stealing his grandfather’s fentanyl patches, which are used as painkillers but also can be narcotic and habit-forming if misused.

The boy, who was not identified by police, is scheduled to appear in St. Lawrence County Family Court.
