OGDENSBURG — Lianne M. Osgood, 24, of 673 County Route 4, was charged Saturday by St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies with welfare fraud and offering a false instrument for filing.

Ms. Osgood allegedly submitted an application for assistance that contained false information and received $3,124 in illegal temporary assistance and food stamp benefits from February to May 2011.

She is scheduled to appear in Oswegatchie Town Court.
