ELLISBURG State police say a hitchhiker broke into the Bear Creek Inn, Route 11, Monday night to get warm, and was later arrested on a charge of third-degree criminal trespass.
Raymond E. Jackson, 44, said to be a native of Michigan, was committed to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building, Watertown, with bail set at $250 by Ellisburg Town Justice Peter C. Payne. Police said he was on his way to Canada.
