HANNAWA FALLS - A Polar Dip to benefit the Hannawa Falls Fire Department will be held on March 16 at The Canoe Place Inn, Route 56, Hannawa Falls.

The Freezing for a Reason event will begin with registration from 9 - 10:45 a.m. at the restaurant. The first plunge into the bay is scheduled for 11 a.m. A hot tub will be available to warm up. All proceeds will benefit the Hannawa Falls Fire Department.

Participants who raise at least $60 will receive a T-shirt and entry into a door prize drawing. Additionally there will be a raffle for an electric Budweiser Cooler. Tickets are $5 each or three for $10.

Prizes will also be awarded for the Most Money Raised, Funniest Dressed, Most Colorful Costume, Best Jump and, of course, Loudest Scream.
