CANTON — St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies have arrested two Massena men in connection with the theft of a handgun in the town of Canton.

Zachary M. Pitts, 19, and Jason M. Bullock, 34, were charged following investigation into the theft of a gun from a home on Miner Street Road. Deputies did not say to whom the weapon belongs.

Both men were charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, and Mr. Pitts was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny.

Mr. Bullock was released on a Massena Town Court appearance ticket. Mr. Pitts was arraigned in Pierrepont Town Court before Justice Robert G. Camp and was released under probation supervision.
