The results of a survey that polled more than 340 employers across upstate New York — including the north country — show they have a strong desire to increase jobs but are still concerned about the obstacles.

The poll was completed by Zogby International on behalf of the Buffalo Niagara Partnership.

The perceptions of upstate employers were mixed regarding economic strategies established by Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo. Though employers are mainly pessimistic about opportunities for young people, startups and welcoming new employers, they believe the state is making a positive economic climb.
