Virginia Martusewicz MacCallum, Alexandria Bay, and Scott Lawrence, Clayton, announce the engagement of their son, Courtney W. Lawrence, Dover, N.H., to Katheryn Jennpher Marcou, Dover.

Miss Marcou, daughter of Debra Ann O’Neil-Marcou and James John Marcou, Dunbarton, N.H., graduated from Bishop Brady High School, Concord, N.H. She is a student at the University of New Hampshire, Durham, working on a marketing degree.

Mr. Lawrence, also the stepson of Bonnie Lawrence, Clayton, graduated from Thousand Islands Central School, Clayton, and Coast Guard basic training at Cape May, N.J. He is a boatswain’s mate 3rd class with the Coast Guard, serving aboard the U.S. Coast Guard cutter Tahoma.

A September 2014 wedding is tentatively planned.
