LOUISVILLE – Shari L. Caza, 40, of 2224 Route 420, Massena, was charged by state police with obstructing governmental administration, resisting arrest and operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs at 7:25 a.m. Saturday.
Troopers were sent to Seaway Timber, 15121 Route 37, in response to a caller saying that Ms. Caza was trying to steal a car.
She allegedly entered a car that wasnt hers and started it, but the owner stopped her and took her inside before she left.
When the troopers arrived she refused to answer questions, and when she was placed under arrest she tried to hit a trooper and started screaming profanities, according to police.
She was given two sobriety tests at the police station and failed both of them, troopers said. She then refused to take any other tests.
Troopers said they do not yet know what drugs she was on, although they suspect prescription medications.
She was arraigned in Louisville Town Court and released on $350 bail.
