DWI - POTSDAM - Village police charged Alyssa M. Alpert, 19, of Liverpool with driving while intoxicated, leaving the scene of a personal injury accident and third-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument and ticketed her for failure to yield the right of way at a stop sign at 2:32 a.m. Sunday following an incident on Market Street. She reportedly had a blood alcohol content of 0.16 percent, double the 0.08 percent limit for a DWI charge. Police said Alpert was involved in a personal injury motor vehicle accident on Market Street and left the scene. A St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department deputy observed the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop on Waverly Street.

ILLEGALLY TINTED WINDOWS - POTSDAM - Village police ticketed John C. Beebe, 23, of Malone for operation of a vehicle with illegally tinted side windows at 10:05 p.m. Saturday following a traffic stop on Pleasant Street. He was also issued a verbal warning for operation of a vehicle with no taillights.

1205 Animal complaint on Sisson Street. Patrol responded and requests Animal Control respond.

1421 Report of a stolen cell phone from a local establishment. Investigation continues.

1444 Report of a lost iPhone in the vicinity of the Main Street parking lot.

1952 Patrols responded Sandstone Drive at Pine Street for a disabled vehicle.

2202 Received a call about a vehicle driving on Elm Street with tail light covers. Patrols responded and were able to locate the vehicle. Ticket issued.

2334 Received a report of a possible intoxicated driver on Maple Street. Patrols responded and found the subject was not intoxicated.
