CARTHAGE — To make use of its new kitchen space, Carthage Free Library, 412 Budd St., will offer a cooking demonstration series the second Thursday of each month starting at 6:30 p.m. March 14.

For the first demonstration, Alison Lentz, co-owner of the Bombay Duck Pickle Cafe, 327 State St., will prepare a surprise dish utilizing seasonal vegetables with help from Delta Keeney. Mrs. Lentz said her presentation will focus on better eating and ways to save money by taking advantage of in-season foods.
