Alexis A. Gates, 22, of 33 N. Park St., Adams, was charged by Watertown police Sunday night at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building with petit larceny.

She is accused of stealing a white pit bull from its owner, Kelsey S.M. Bailey, on Feb. 22 at 549 Morrison St.

Ms. Gates was given an appearance ticket for City Court.
