WINTHROP - This winter numerous Winthrop business owners worked together to promote and advertise their services and products by developing a business card brochure to hand out.

This brochure is being developed as a way for the businesses to network and encourage customers to Shop Winthrop.

The businesses contributed money that would cover printing costs, give out four $100 cash awards along with two gift certificates from Goose Landing, a free oil change from B & P Auto, a brick of eight-year-old Cheddar Cheese from Elliott’s Farm & Home Supply, and four Living Cookbook CDs from Radium Technology of Winthrop.

The cash and prizes were offered as a way to increase foot traffic in a slow economy.

The following are the entrants who won the prizes;

$100: Gloria Sullivan, Colby Jenkinson, Rick Moody, Morey Hazelton.

Goose Landing $20 Gift Certificates: Norma Vigue, Nate Francis.

B & P Auto, regular five quart oil change, Fisher LaRock.

Elliott’s Farm & Home Supply (Agway), Brick of Cheddar Cheese, Ray Parker.

Radium Technology, Living Cookbook recipe software, four CDs, Bill MacKinnon, David Seguin, Lisa Crump and Art Lyons.
