MACOMB — Sean M. Boprey, 28, Gouverneur, was charged by state police with attempted assault, menacing and criminal mischief at 12:04 a.m. Sunday.

State police responded to reports of a physical fight between Mr. Boprey and his girlfriend, whom police did not name. Although neither was injured, the woman told police that Mr. Boprey was threatening her and that she was afraid. He also allegedly smashed her cellphone.

Mr. Boprey was arraigned in Macomb Town Court and taken to St. Lawrence County jail, Canton, on $500 cash bail. An order of protection was issued to the woman.
