Two face charges after Watertown police investigate alleged protection-order violation

Two people face charges following a Watertown police investigation into the alleged violation of a City Court order of protection.

Ali A. Rheal, 30, of 914 Academy St., Apt. A., was charged at 11:55 p.m. Saturday with first-degree criminal contempt, a felony, while Ivory L. Carolina, 30, Salters, S.C., was charged with second-degree harassment and unlawful possession of marijuana.

It is alleged that Mr. Rheal violated an order of protection held against him by Ms. Carolina by allowing her to be at his residence. Police said Mr. Rheal had been convicted of second-degree criminal contempt Feb. 26 in City Court.

Police also said they found a small amount of marijuana, which Ms. Carolina allegedly admitted belonged to her. It is further alleged that about midnight, Ms. Carolina punched Dibrittany D. Harrison, 1429 Gill St., Apt. 439-D, in the face with her fist.

Ms. Carolina was given appearance tickets for City Court, while Mr. Rheal was held in the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building to await arraignment.
