Mrs. Jo A Shampine, 74, of Ocala, FL passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2013. Jo was born in Jeffersonville, IN on June 1, 1938. She was proud of being a US Air Force veteran. Jo was a past Lions Club member and loved performing as a line dancer. She was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church. She was greatly loved and will be missed by those who survive her, including her husband of 52 years, Allan “Paul” Shampine; son, Mark Shampine and wife, Wendy; daughter, Catherine Moore and husband, Michael; grandchildren, Victoria Shampine and Jessica Woxland; brother, Richard Simpson; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Terry Taddonio. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 15th from 10:30 to 11:30 A.M. at Roberts Funeral Homes Bruce Chapel West, 6241 SW SR 200, followed by service at11:30 A.M. Interment will be in Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to National Breast Cancer Foundation in Jo’s honor. Arrangements are under the care of Roberts Funeral Homes. 352-854-2266
