BRASHER FALLS — A 34-year-old man stands accused of raping a girl under the age of 17.

State police arrested Bruce R. Love, Brasher Falls, at 10:56 a.m. Wednesday and charged him with third-degree rape of a victim less than 17 by a person greater than 21, a class E felony, and acting in a manner injurious to a child under the age of 17, a class A misdemeanor, troopers said.

The incident was reported March 5, state police said. Further details, including the age of the alleged victim, were not released.

The suspect was committed to the St. Lawrence County Correctonal Facility without bail.
