GREAT BEND Carthage Central School District Board of Education added two propositions to the budget ballot in May at Mondays meeting.
On the ballot, the board will seek permission to purchase 13 buses and vote board members in at-large.
The buses include 10 standard 77-passenger buses, a standard 77-passenger bus with chains, a standard 77-passenger bus with luggage storage and a standard 29-passenger bus. According to the board resolution, the total price would be $1,458,314 or less and will be raised through the tax levy.
If the proposition to add at-large voting is approved by the voters, those running for the Board of Education run for all of the open positions rather than choosing a particular seat to run for.
